Chester County History Center

It’s often said that what you don’t know can’t hurt you. However, this lecture, entitled “Ordinary Poison: Quack Medicine, Fashion Victims, and Good Intentions Gone Bad,” proves otherwise.

Join Jennifer Green, the Chester County History Center’s Director of Education, via Zoom on Tuesday, Aug. 10 from 7-8 PM for a look at everyday objects and habits of the past that were actually quite deadly.

From arsenic in wallpaper, radium in face cream, and cocaine in soda, discover the ways that everyday objects and habits were actually wreaking havoc with our health.

Reserve your spot today. Admission is pay as you wish; however, a suggested donation of $10 is greatly appreciated.

The presentation will be recorded and available for seven days for all registered participants.

All proceeds benefit the development of future programming and the preservation of the History Center and its collections.

Founded in 1893, the Chester County History Center aims to preserve and share the county’s remarkable history in powerful and relevant ways.
