Hankin Group – the Exton-based real estate development, construction, and management company – has named Michael Hankin President of Hankin Apartments.

Hankin Apartments is the company’s residential division with a portfolio of more than 2,300 existing units and approximately 2,000 units in the pipeline for future development. Hankin will be stepping into his new role, leading an award-winning team of maintenance and leasing professionals, while holding his current position as Chief Operating Officer of Hankin Group.

He joined Hankin Group in 2011 after spending a decade with Ernst & Young and PwC, leading international consulting assignments. A CPA with a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech, Hankin has been overseeing the operations of Hankin Group for the past 10 years and has helped lead the company’s significant growth and expansions into new markets.

Following the company’s recent rebrand, Hankin Apartments will continue to develop its own identity as a growing and prosperous organization.

Since 2012, Hankin Apartments has doubled in size and currently holds a 96 percent occupancy rate across numerous communities, with several projects underway, including a 44-unit apartment building in Eagleview Town Center.

“As we continue to grow through both development and acquisition, Hankin Apartments needs its own focused leadership team,” said Bob Hankin. “Michael will continue in his current role at the Hankin Group, as well as in this new endeavor.”

As President, Michael will oversee the dynamic residential portfolio of senior living and multi-family units with Vice President of Operations Rebecca Reeves.
