N.Y. Times Says Risk Level for COVID-19 in Chester County Remains Very High

While the number of COVID-19 cases continued to decrease over the last two weeks, Chester County remains at a very high risk level for the coronavirus, according to The New York Times.

The numbers of hospitalized patients and COVID-19-related deaths have fallen compared to two weeks ago, but the test positivity rate still remains elevated.

In the past two weeks, an average of 94 cases per day was reported. That represents a 26 percent decrease from the two weeks prior. Since the start of the pandemic, approximately one in 17 residents have been infected.

December remains the month with the highest number of reported cases in Chester County.

Meanwhile, the average ICU occupancy was at 66 percent as of Feb. 25.
