Kristin Nevins, general counsel for Imagine Pharma in Devon, has joined forces with interior designer Lara Evans to launch a tennis fashion line, Club & Court, writes Kennedy Rose for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The two women started their own business to fill what they felt was a void in the athletic wear industry. They launched the clothing at the Merion Cricket Club, which inspired the line by asking Nevins and Evans to select its tennis uniform.

After poring over catalogs and brochures for hours, they were unable to find a design that would be comfortable, functional, and appropriate to wear outside of tennis.

So, they decided to take on the challenge and soon designed several collections that would fit perfectly in a variety of settings. The business is now seeking entry into tennis clubs from Florida to the Hamptons.

Starting a new business during the pandemic also made the two rethink various aspects of their lives.

“Having this as a creative outlet and this challenge pushed us professionally to take on different roles outside of our comfort zone,” said Nevins.
