National Geographic: Chester County Boasts the Region’s Lowest Number of COVID-19 Cases Per Capita

The number of COVID-19 cases in Chester County continued to increase in December, with a slight drop recorded near the end of the month, according to a map published by National Geographic.

In the last two weeks, the county recorded 3,283 new coronavirus cases, or one reported case for every 158 people.

That is an increase compared to the last two weeks of November when the county recorded 2,922 new cases, or one out of every 177 people.

However, this is still among the lowest numbers of reported cases in the region per capita.

Sadly, the number of deaths has also increased. There were 62 reported COVID-19-related deaths in the last two weeks in Chester County, or one out of every 8,341 people. During the last two weeks of November, the county had 27 deaths, or one in every 19,154 people.
