The partnership between the Women’s Business Connection and Exton Region Chamber of Commerce that brought Leadercast, and its thought-provoking leadership lessons and inspiring takeaways, to the area last year has pivoted amidst the pandemic to better serve businesswomen and offer the event in a virtual format.

Comprised of six 30-minute videos featuring movers-and-shakers from many industries – including a global influencer, bestselling author, soccer legend, Paralympian, and more – this year’s edition is entitled “Leadercast: Ripple Effect Series” and offers leadership development content that is current, relevant, and motivating. Sessions are scheduled for the first Tuesday of the month from January to June in 2021. Attendees will receive a link to view the presentation on their own schedule over a four-day period.

On Tuesdays (see dates below) at 4 PM, attendees will convene in a “LeaderChat” Zoom call where they can share thoughts, feedback, and experiences. The series hopes to culminate with a live event on June 8:

  • Jan. 5 – Radha Agrawal: Get the Blueprint for Cultivating and Nurturing Community
  • Feb. 2 – Bonnie St. John: Use Tactical Concepts to Pave the Way for Breakthrough Performances
  • March 2 – Stephanie Mehta: Master the “New Normal” and Any Future Business Interruptions
  • April 6 – Tiffany Dufu: Gain Expert Advice for Clarifying and Prioritizing What Matters Most
  • May 4 – Abby Wambach: Learn the Power of Leading and Honing the Strengths of Your Team
  • June 8 – Randi Zuckerberg: Revitalize Leadership Practices Using Unique Silicon Valley Insights

“We were so pleased with the success of our first Leadercast event last year,” said WBC President Diana Mattingly of First Resource Bank. “With more than 80 ladies gathered at the Exton Movie Tavern, it was a full-day event filled with fun activities, inspirational speakers, and lots of new connections. The speakers were live in an arena in Atlanta, and we watched them via simulcast on the big movie screen, while relaxing in the comfy recliners. We stopped for breaks and meals throughout the day, then ended with a high-energy happy hour with great conversations.”

Individuals who sign up for the entire series can receive CEUs (continuing education units) for nursing, the HR Certification Institute (HRCI), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

“I’m proud that the WBC has kept our original scheduled events in 2020 and found ways to make them work virtually,” said Mattingly. “I’m excited that we were able to find a way to keep Leadercast going, so the speakers can inspire us and the LeaderChats can connect us. The WBC is thrilled to partner once again with the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce and hope to keep this as an annual event. This year’s lineup of speakers will be a great way to kick off 2021.”
