Three bakeries in Chester County are among the six best in Philadelphia’s western suburbs that offer seasonal treats with an international flair, writes Lindsey Thompson for Main Line Today.

Yori’s Bakery on North Church Street in West Chester offers a variety of German desserts specially crafted for the Christmas season. You can choose from a wide selection of traditional favorites, such as gingerbread, springerle, pfeffernüsse, stollen bread, and yule logs.

Alondra’s Bakery on West State Street in Kennett Square offers delicious cakes for the holiday season. Some of the highlights on the menu include pastel de tres leches and rompope – also known as Mexican eggnog.

Meanwhile, Dia Doce Bakery on South High Street in West Chester offers its tasty cupcakes by special order until Dec. 24. There are many options to choose from, including gingerbread, dulce de leche, and a very special red velvet candy cane.
