Brandywine Valley SPCA Looking for Families to Welcome Most Overlooked Dogs During Holidays

By

The Brandywine Valley SPCA in West Chester is holding its third annual Holiday Sleepovers, and this year, the event is focusing on the most overlooked dogs at the shelter, according to a report from CBS Philly.

These sleepovers give the dogs a break from the shelter by having them stay with a foster family for the holidays, between Dec. 24 and Jan. 3. The pooches will also help any families that decide to open their doors for them to have a brighter holiday in a year when most will not be able to see their extended family and friends.

This year’s candidates for Holiday Sleepovers have been overlooked for a variety of reasons, including being a little older or needing to be an only pet – none of which makes them less deserving of a good home.

And during the time the dogs are staying with their foster families, the goal is to capture them in a homey atmosphere with photos and videos that will hopefully help them find their forever families.
