West Chester Charity Ball’s Tradition of Giving Back During Holiday Season Reimagined for 2020

By

The West Chester Charity Ball, which benefits the programs and services of Friends Association for Care & Protection of Children, boasts a longstanding tradition – 32 years’ worth – of bringing community members together to share their generosity during the holiday season.

With the current health and financial crises disrupting our everyday lives, the event’s volunteer committee has worked hard to pivot and provide an exceptional alternative to gathering in person.

“Even though we cannot celebrate the holiday season together in person this year, we can continue our tradition of support and care for the community,” said Jennifer Lopez, Friends Association’s Executive Director. “This year, we know how great the need is in the community, and we are offering guests the opportunity to participate in an event that will contribute substantially to helping with the current housing and eviction crises.”

This year’s West Chester Charity Ball will be reimagined in a way that will provide for lasting memories and significant impact for families experiencing homelessness. A. Marinelli & Sons has provided generous support for the event for many years and will once again be its Presenting Sponsor.

The popular event will offer guests the opportunity to celebrate the season from the comfort of their own homes. Champagne, Canapes, and Chocolate will be available for pick up prior to the event at the West Chester Golf & Country Club, followed by an evening of digital entertainment, including an auction and a live raffle drawing.

“I’m glad that we still have the chance to give ourselves the gift of charity and kindness this holiday season, and in so doing we will be giving families in need the best gift of all, a home,” said Matthew Holliday, Friends Association’s Board President.

Sponsorship opportunities remain available and tickets will be on sale beginning in mid-October.

Working throughout Chester County, Friends Association provides programs and services that prevent homelessness and promote the independence of families with children. Click here for more information or to support the West Chester Charity Ball.
