Six of Immaculata’s Newest Faculty Members Are Chester County Residents
Six of Immaculata University’s newest faculty members are Chester County residents.
West Chester resident Taek-yul (Ted) Kim has joined the business faculty, where he serves as assistant professor in the undergraduate program, as has Valley Forge resident Michael Stevens, who serves as an instructor for the newly added Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management.
Parkesburg resident Sarah Dougherty has joined the faculty of the Business, Fashion, and Leadership department, where she serves as an instructor for undergraduate business majors.
Downingtown resident Adrian Smith has joined the Music Department, where she serves as an instructor for undergraduate music majors.
Exton resident Linda Fritzinger-Hearn, along with Charity Adedokun, have joined the nursing faculty as assistant professors.
For the past six years, Kim has served as assistant professor of finance at West Chester University. He began his academic career teaching statistic courses at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before moving on to Drexel University, where he taught a variety of business-related courses.
Stevens, who spent 30 successful years in corporate America across a wide variety of industries and functions, is a principal and founder of Supply Chain Victories, LLC.
Most recently, Dougherty served as director of human resources for the Phoenixville School District, where she handled all aspects of human resources and served as a key member of the district’s senior leadership team.
Smith began her career at Renaissance Academy Charter School in 2006, starting as a general music teacher for elementary and middle school students, as well as choir director. From 2012-2017 she collaborated with a team of teachers to create and present school-wide professional development initiatives as the teaching and learning representative at Renaissance.
Fritzinger-Hearn recently served as professor of nursing at Keiser University in Naples, Fla., where she helped launch the inaugural accelerated B.S.N. program at a new campus location and established a simulation lab.
A registered nurse in Pennsylvania, Adedokun has 22 years of nursing experience. She began her career in Nigeria, earning her nursing diploma and midwifery certification from Lagos University Teaching Hospital and then her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nigeria.
