West Chester-based QVC and the Home Shopping Network will shine a spotlight on “kidpreneur” Gabby Goodwin, the 13-year-old founder of Gabby Bows, writes Leland Pinder for WIS News 10.

Goodwin, of Columbia, S.C., built the company and its double-face, double-snap barrette with her mother, Rozalynn. Now, they are ready to take the next step with their business and are looking forward to the possibility of millions of people seeing their product.

Goodwin is one of 20 entrepreneurs who have been selected to share their products together with their personal stories on QVC and other brands owned by the Qurate Retail Group. This is a part of an effort to spotlight black-owned small businesses in partnership with the National Retail Federation.

“I’m super excited to share my story, share my products with millions of people all over the world, and I’m able to inspire girls all over the world as well!” said Goodwin.

At 13, Goodwin has to balance the responsibilities of running a successful company with being an eighth-grade student.

And while sometimes schoolwork and business clash, “if I just keep working and managing my time, it definitely helps, and has gotten easier,” said Goodwin.
