Lamb McErlane partners Maureen M. McBride and Kathleen O’Connell Bell have been named The Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar 2020.”

McBride and Bell were selected based on the significance of their achievements, the scale of their legal results, and their work in the business community.

A panel of outside judges selected the group of 40 local lawyers who, within the last 12 months, have distinguished themselves in their practice specialties. The honorees were chosen from around 100 nominations.

McBride is recognized for her work in Business Litigation. She concentrates her practice on appellate law and commercial litigation in state and federal courts. She is co-chair of the firm’s Appellate Department and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and Executive Committee.

Bell was chosen for her work in Employment Litigation. She concentrates her practice in commercial civil litigation in state and federal court systems. Her primary areas of practice are commercial civil litigation, general premises liability defense, employment discrimination defense law, higher education law, and real estate law.

Awardees of The Philadelphia Business Journal’s fourth annual “Best of the Bar” will be honored at a virtual event on Oct. 29.
