Mitchell J. Reading, a former First Vice President and 15-year veteran of CBRE, Inc, has joined the team of tenant advocates at Philadelphia-based Tactix Real Estate Advisors.

Throughout his career, Reading has managed and co-managed more than two and a half million square feet of real estate transactions within the Philadelphia suburbs.

“The lessons learned and relationships I’ve developed at my former company were vast and for that I’ll always be grateful,” said Reading. “However, the chance to join the Tactix team who are widely acknowledged as the most skilled and thoughtful real estate experts in the region is a special opportunity.”

With his clients’ best interests in mind, as well as his own career, Reading felt that moving to Tactix was a natural fit. There he will continue his practice in advising companies throughout the Philadelphia region.

“When you get an opportunity to bring someone into your company with Mitch’s character, skills and experience, you jump at it,” said managing principal of Tactix, Glenn Blumenfeld.

“Through interacting with the Tactix team over the years, I envied their sophisticated approach to real estate transactions as well as their purity of purpose in committing exclusively to one segment of the market. At Tactix, we only represent tenants and, therefore, avoid the inevitable conflicts of interest that exist at the dual agency firms who make the majority of their revenues from landlords,” said Reading.

Founded in 1997, Tactix is now the largest tenant-only brokerage firm in Greater Philadelphia. Tactix’s steadfast commitment to foregoing any landlord engagements ensures uncompromised loyalties at the negotiating table and, therefore, better real estate outcomes for tenant clients.

The Tactix team has structured many of the largest and most complex real estate transactions in the Delaware Valley region, including representing the anchor tenants at the only two speculative office towers in Center City Philadelphia in the past 20 years: Cira Centre (Dechert and Woodcock Washburn) and FMC Tower at Cira Centre South (FMC).  Further, the team has authored scores of tenant-focused thought pieces, which can be found on the Tactix Blog.
