While the West Chester Borough Police Department’s latest recruit to the force may be small, “Officer” Brinton is nonetheless ready to serve and protect, according to a report from 6ABC.

The department posted a picture of the young boy, decked out in full police uniform, checking out a patrol car and hanging out with Officer Stabilo and Officer Donkin. He also shared with his new “colleagues” everything he knows about being a good police officer.

“We met our newest recruit yesterday as he was keeping a close eye on happening uptown!” said the posting.

The young recruit received a warm welcome from residents on the department’s Facebook page, with many expressing their absolute confidence he would make a great addition to the force.
