Medical Technologist

This position performs a variety of routine and complex tests in one or more laboratory sections; makes correct judgments about the validity of test results based on quality control data; and orients and instructs new employees or students in the performance of tests and use of equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree with MT (ASCP) certification and a minimum of two years of related experience; and familiarity with the Laboratory Exposure Control Plan, including the Chemical Hygiene Plan, Hazard Communication Program, and OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen standard.

Phlebotomist

This position accurately possesses both blood and non-blood specimens and checks specimen type for appropriateness and proper labeling; draws all scheduled samples in a timely manner; and performs morning laboratory rounds as assigned by the supervisor until completed.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and PBT certification; one year of phlebotomy experience; strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills; and knowledge of standard precautions to work practices and knowledge of dealing with chemical or biological spills.

Scheduler

This position conducts comprehensive patient interviews while verifying applicable information; ensures complete accuracy when scheduling patient exams; and verifies eligibility and benefits and obtains authorizations and pre-certifications and referrals when applicable.

The ideal candidate will process a high school diploma or GED and previous registration and/or insurance verification experience; good computer skills, including the ability to learn all software applications; and the ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a calm, professional manner.
