Environmental Health Supervisor (Food & Institutions)

This position manages the daily operations of program staff who perform environmental health assessments, complaint investigations, inspections, and enforcement activities; maintains technical standardization among the group; and prepares performance evaluations.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and five years of job-related experience; proven supervisory and management skills; working knowledge of code enforcement, public health vectors, and environmental health principles; and strong public relations skills.

Environmental Health Supervisor (Water & Sewage)

This position leads all aspects of several programs, including individual water supplies, on-lot sewage disposal systems, and liquid waste hauling; supervises, evaluates, and trains professional and administrative staff; and plans and evaluates the annual program.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and five years of job-related experience; Sewage Enforcement Officer certification; a general understanding of fiscal planning; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Environmental Services Supervisor

This position supervises and ensures the satisfactory cleaning of the exterior perimeter of all buildings, all interior spaces of all buildings, and all floors in all areas of all buildings; oversees vendor employees and provides staff training; supervises county custodial and related services staff.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and some college education; five years of job-related experience and/or training; strong interpersonal skills; and working knowledge of building cleaning, safety procedures, sanitation procedures, and security procedures.
