Adam Rand, a business development manager for Malvern-based Neuronetics, spends his free time running a successful lacrosse club, Shoreline Lacrosse, writes Vickie Fulkerson for The New London (Conn.) Day.

Rand is no stranger to lacrosse. During his senior year at Stony Brook University, he was an honorable mention All-American. He then went on to play professionally for six seasons.

He founded Shoreline Lacrosse 11 years ago and has no plans of ever giving up the reins.

“We’re going to keep this program around forever,” said Rand. “I’ve had people say, ‘We’d love to buy your program.’ Not over my dead body. The program means the world to me.”

Rand is able to dedicate himself to the Connecticut program and run it in person as he works remotely for Neuronetics, a medical device company.

Now, after months of not being able to play, he is back on the field with his players and enjoying every minute of it.

“When practice starts, it takes you away,” he said. “I just have fun with it.”
