After the pandemic forced them to work from home, Vanguard employees will slowly start to return to their offices over the next several months, writes Erin Arvedlund for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“The health and safety of our crew, as well as our ability to continue serving our global clients, is top of mind as we begin determining how and when to return to campus,” said Vanguard spokeswoman Dana Grosser.

She said that the company is expecting to see “a phased approach, which will differ by region, and is working closely with government officials and medical professionals to identify the conditions under which we can have crew safely return to our offices.”

The first phase will consist of a small number of business-essential staff returning to the office over the course of several months. Employees who are either unable to return to the office or do not feel safe doing so will be allowed to continue working from home.

The second phase will involve a return to the office for a large segment of employees globally, while the third phase will mark a full return to the office. The exact timing of these phases is yet to be determined.
