Company Founded by Former Merck Researcher Adds 115,000 Square Feet to Its Exton Space

Veltek Associates is expanding its Exton space with a 115,000-square-foot addition to its existing two-story, 60,000-square-foot space in the Oaklands Corporate Center, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The property is owned by E. Kahn Development, which will develop the addition for the privately held maker of sanitizers, sterile disinfectants, and other similar pharmaceutical and healthcare products. The addition is going to be used for production and warehouse space. However, the construction starting date is still unknown.

The company’s existing space in the Oaklands Corporate Center will also be renovated. Veltek also intends to eventually buy the existing building and the new production facility.

Veltek has had an Exton presence for the last 10 years. The company, which also operates a facility in Malvern, renewed its lease on 150,000 square feet at 1 Tabas Lane in Exton earlier this year.

The company was founded four decades ago by a former Merck researcher, Arthur L. Vellutato Sr. After his death, his son, Arthur L. Vellutato Jr., took over as CEO.

Veltek has several divisions that do well under normal circumstances, but has been facing significantly increased demand since the coronavirus outbreak began.
