Fairman’s in West Chester is one of the oldest and most iconic skate shops in the nation and counts the legendary Tony Hawk among its clientele, according to a report from 6ABC.

The shop opened its doors for the first time 43 years ago and has been beloved by the community it serves ever since. It sells everything from boards to apparel to footwear, ensuring that all the needs of a skateboarder are met in one place.

Fairman’s has something to offer anyone who is just starting and also those who are already world renowned – as well as everyone in between.

“Almost everything is custom-made here,” said Mike Moll of Fairman’s. “Generally, we want to preassemble a skateboard for you in-store so you can watch the process. It’s usually a very memorable experience.”

The shop has recently also put a new indoor skate park in the basement where customers can give their new wheels a try.
