While it may come as no surprise that the Covid-19 pandemic has created a devastating impact on companies across the region; it has created especially unique challenges for those with an international footprint. Their supply chains and ability to serve their clients have been disrupted. Their international strategies have been completely turned upside down.

For businesses facing these challenges, the Global Business Advisory Board is here to help.

GBA is a key program of the Chester County Economic Development Council serving the interest of companies across South East Pennsylvania seeking advice, guidance, market entry and expansion into the international marketplace.

Additionally, the GBA serves global companies interested in establishing operations in the greater Chester County region. The GBA board is comprised of 30 members with fluency in 17 languages, expertise in 12 industries, and experience in 35 countries. The board has deep expertise in global markets and supply chain management. GBA has access to government agencies, and possesses banking, financing, and legal expertise.

In the past two years, GBA has worked with local companies such as Levante Brewery in West Chester, Pietro Industries in Kennett Square, Willowdale Children’s Academy in Chadds Ford, and many others to help them gain market share across the globe.

GBA has hosted over 30 foreign delegations from European and Asian countries such as Ireland, Taiwan, China, Lithuania, Japan and Scotland (virtual due to the pandemic).

Now, GBA is here to walk companies through best practices during the pandemic such as the “Do’s, Don’ts” of international trade during this unprecedented time. For any business, now is also a good time to examine and consider current global strategy, and where your business should be in the post-coronavirus environment.

GBA stands ready to strategically partner in the reexamination, formulation, or implementation of your global strategies.
