The award-winning Tredyffrin/Easttown School District serves the townships of Tredyffrin and Easttown, encompassing 38 square miles in eastern Chester County. The area is primarily made up of single-family homes and includes such notable communities as Paoli, Devon, Berwyn, Daylesford, Chesterbrook, Strafford, and Wayne. More than 6,000 students attend the district’s eight schools.

Construction Security Guard

The regular rate for this full-time position (6 AM-2:30 PM) is $16.27 per hour. This position will patrol and supervise hallways, restrooms, entrance/exit ways, and grounds/parking lots in a timely manner; conduct patrol inspection of doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure; assume responsibility for securing or unlocking portions of the buildings as directed; confront unauthorized persons for questioning and routes; detain them or call police for assistance, according to emergency action plan; report any unusual conditions or malfunctioning of heating, plumbing, electrical, or air-conditioning systems; and assist visitors with directions and any needed explanations of procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of security or related experience; a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license; proficient written and verbal English communication skills; ability to climb a ladder or scaffold to 15 feet in height; and the aptitude, physical ability, and stamina exercised without hesitation for successful fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.

Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities of this salaried position include coordination of general ledger accounting functions, including preparation and entry of journal entries; analysis of accounts in preparation for month- and year-end closing; the maintenance of the chart of accounts in line with the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Governmental Accounting Standards Board guidelines; the coordination of the fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management functions.

The ideal candidate will possess at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Three years of experience in accounting in a Pennsylvania school district or the equivalent experience in a local government accounting department is highly desired. He/she will have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computerized general ledger accounting systems.
