Westtown Township – as well as the nearby townships of Thornbury, Birmingham, Pennsbury, and Pocopson – are among the 17 municipalities in Chester County that made the list of The 50 Hottest Philadelphia Neighborhoods and Nearby Towns recently published by Philadelphia magazine.

To compile the list, the magazine used data from the HomExpert Market Report.

The highest-ranked Chester County locale is Newlin Township at No. 3 with an average home price of $804,461. Next is Easttown Township in fourth with a $791,101 average home price.

Places that also made the Top 25 include Charlestown Township at No. 17, Devon at No. 21, Thornbury Township at No. 23, Birmingham Township at No. 24, and Pennsbury Township at No. 25.

Willistown Township is close behind at No. 26, followed by Pocopson Township at No. 28 with West Vincent Township No. 30.

West Pikeland Township is next at No. 32, Tredyffrin Township at No. 36, and Wallace Township at No. 39.

The list is rounded out by London Britain Township at No. 45, East Whiteland Township at No. 46, Upper Uwchlan Township at No. 47, and Westtown Township in 50th.
