Agree or Disagree with This List, but Chances Are You’ve Got an Opinion About Wawa’s Sandwiches

By

We choose our Wawa sandwiches based on the mood we’re in, the time of day (or night), how much we feel like spending, and what has stacked up well over time.

Now, Philadelphia magazine has come up with its own list of favorite Wawa sandwiches, writes Jason Sheehan for the magazine.

Topping the list was The Gobbler, a Thanksgiving favorite that gives you a turkey dinner in a Shorti roll.

Next is the Italian hoagie. Every other Italian hoagie in town? It can be judged on whether it is better or worse than the one at Wawa.

The ham hoagie follows.

A cheesteak after midnight is fourth on the list, then the meatball sandwich.

At No. 6 is the cheese hoagie … light, feeling almost healthy, but tasting like a hoagie someone forgot to put meat on.

The turkey hoagie was seventh on the list, described as the “Jennifer Aniston” of sandwiches.

A cheesesteak before midnight came in at the eighth spot.

An egg salad hoagie came in ninth, and rounding out at 10th was pepperoni hot or cold.

The veggie hoagie was 11th, followed by the chicken finger hoagie, the BLT hoagie, and a tuna salad hoagie.
