You can now play golf at Pebble Beach or St. Andrews without ever leaving Chadds Ford, writes Fran Maye for the Daily Times.

XGolf is a new high-tech indoor golf simulator and training facility that’s now open near routes 1 and 202.

The facility allows up to six players. Players use their own clubs and golf ball to hit against a large video screen. There are 53 courses, including St. Andrews, Harbour Town, Bay Hill East, Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay, and more.

“It takes about an hour to play a round of golf,” said Eric Miller, XGolf owner and an avid golfer. “I just wanted to have something better golf-wise for the community. There really isn’t anything like this in the area.”

An on-site PGA professional will give lessons. A liquor license is coming in about two weeks. There are even courses for children.

Each of the courses is a 3D duplicate of the real courses.

The simulator’s tracking system accurately measures the ball flight in real time and provides feedback so golfers can see their shots transition seamlessly from the real world to the virtual world.
