Founded by sisters Lindsay and Laura DiFrancesco, Flourish is a new community-driven, zero-waste, and pet-friendly co-working space in West Chester, writes Laura Brzyski for Philadelphia magazine.

Flourish officially opened at the start of this year. Its 3,200-square-foot office is located in a single-family home. This ensures comfortable and relaxing surroundings, complete with blanketed and cushioned chairs and lots of plants.

Meanwhile, efficiency and collaboration are fostered by high-top tables that double as standing desks, along with chic personal desks. There’s also a conference room for meetings or recording podcasts and a full kitchen stocked with plenty of healthy snacks and beverages.

The idea for the business came from Laura DiFrancesco, who owns Dean Street Law in West Chester.

“I wanted somewhere that felt like home but had the team atmosphere to inspire me to grow my business,” she said.

In addition to its cozy atmosphere, Flourish focuses on sustainability. The facility has a zero-waste initiative that is achieved through recycling and composting. Meanwhile, the space also uses locally sourced and second-hand furnishings and sources renewable energy.

In addition to being a co-working space, Flourish will host numerous community events, such as yoga classes and business-oriented workshops.
