Hoping to bring people closer together, Elizabeth Moro created a message of peace on her farm using 196 candles, each one representing a different country in the world, writes Fran Maye for the Daily Local News.

Moro owns Chadds Peak Farm with her husband Vince. Last Sunday, she arranged the lit candles to spell out “peace” to counter the talk of war from the heightened tensions between the United States and Iran.

“We have started a new year and everyone has optimism that this year will be better than last,” said Moro. “I thought I needed to do something to bring the community together with a message of hope.”

Moro got some help from people attending a nearby college. They started talking about the possibility of being drafted; however, Moro prompted them to focus on more positive things.

“If we keep putting out negative thoughts and thoughts of fear, it adds more stress to an already stressful world,” said Moro. “I think there is so much we can do to shed light on what’s right about the world. There’s not enough of that.”
