With its all-natural and organic drinks, Berwyn-based Mingle Mocktails is ready to take advantage of the rising popularity of nonalcoholic cocktails and make itself a household name in 2020, writes Rachel King for Fortune.

In addition to offering a dry alternative to cocktails, mocktails also often have fewer calories than an average fruit juice but are more elevated than just sparkling water.

The two-year-old Mingle Mocktails boasts a portfolio of bottled sparkling mocktails in which each eight-ounce serving contains just 40 calories. The company also did its marketing homework and has created blends for people looking for an alternative to some of the most popular cocktails, including the Cranberry Cosmo, Blackberry Hibiscus Bellini, and Melon Mojito.

Founder Laura Taylor created Mingle Mocktails after she decided to stop drinking alcohol and realized how few options there were for premium zero-proof mocktails at social gatherings.

“I know from first-hand experience that the mocktail movement is taking shape and becoming more mainstream,” she said. “Two or three years ago, people viewed me as an anomaly.”

Now, however, “I’m finding more people are interested and even choosing to take a break from alcohol themselves.”
