The Southeast Chapter of the Pennsylvania Library Association (SEPLA) honored Marguerite Dube, Director of the Chester County Library and its Henrietta Hankin Branch, with its 2019 Patricia A. Dobbin Award.

The prestigious award is given annually to a library employee or resident of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia counties who demonstrates one or more of the characteristics of outstanding service, exceptional commitment, distinguished leadership, significant contributions, unique ability, and sound judgment.

Dube, who possesses a master’s degree in Library and Information Science, has been Director of the Chester County Library since September 2008. During her tenure, she has overseen many physical changes to the library and strives to create a welcoming atmosphere for all of its customers.

“Marguerite is an inspiration to her fellow co-workers, and is a leader in our community,” said Amy Krize Suveg, the Chester County Library’s Public Relations Specialist.
