For a speakeasy type of experience, try Split Rail Tavern on North Walnut Street for its delightful range of artisanal casual bites and microbrewery offerings. For another casual and relaxed option, check out Kildare’s Irish Pub on West Gay Street for its cold beer, warm wings, and traditional fish and chips.

For more traditional American food, check out Side Bar on East Gay Street.

Meanwhile, for a more European vibe, try Bar Avalon on East Gay Street for Italian and Spanish offerings. For great beer, try Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant on West Gay Street or Ram’s Head Bar & Grill on East Market Street.

The final two worth a visit are The Social on East Gay Street and Appalachian Brewing Company on East Market Street.
