Fox Rothschild’s Sam Cortes Named President of Chester County Bar Association

Samuel W. Cortes, a partner in Fox Rothschild’s Exton office, has been elected president of the Chester County Bar Association for the 2020 term.

Cortes had deep roots within the CCBA and previously served as vice president of the Executive Committee and was the former chair of the Judicial Evaluation Committee. He is also a former member of the Chester County Bar Foundation.

At Fox Rothschild, Cortes litigates disputes in state and federal courts and assists financial service companies in obtaining required court approvals of transactions, including assignments of lottery prizes and structured settlement proceeds.

Cortes also handles construction litigation matters on behalf of public and private owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, and lenders.

He earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and his B.A. from Boston College.
