Throughout November, Delaware County will be bursting at the seams with seasonal and holiday parades, festivals, magical Nutcrackers, and even deliciously “cheesy” winery events – and that’s just the beginning.

While Santa may be making a list and checking it twice, Visit Delco, PA has its own November Top 10 List of Things to See and Do in Delco. Here is a sampling of events featured on the tourism agency’s list:

  • Media’s 60th Annual Veterans Day Parade is one of the oldest Veterans Day parades in the country. It begins today at 11:11 AM at State and Jackson streets and culminates in front of the Delaware County Courthouse.
  • Delco’s theater scene is famous for its iconic family shows and holiday classics like Peter Pan, Elf the Musical at the Media Theatre, two stunning ballet presentations of The Nutcracker, the touring Disney Juniors Holiday Show, a Cirque Christmas, and Hedgerow Theatre’s 28th annual production of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, which runs through Christmas Eve.
  • Media’s annual Jazz By Night Celebration features different live jazz performances in 16 restaurants – and ticket holders get free admittance into every venue.
  • Delco’s Santa Parade is a giant, county-sized, day-into-night block party in the county seat of Media. It starts with a Family Fun Run & Walk, children’s games, and entertainment. At sundown, Santa arrives in a parade that includes dancers, firetrucks, costumed characters, floats, and a show-stopping Mummers Band.
  • Linvilla Orchards, one of the state’s most popular destination farms, features tons of pumpkins, games, musical fun, fishing, and barnyard animals. This month, the farm also starts its famous hayrides to the Christmas tree fields, where visitors can search for and cut their own tree.

In addition to the monthly Top 10 List, VisitDelcoPA.com provides an online reservation system for Delaware County hotels and B&Bs.

“November starts the busy holiday season, so we want to invite everyone to visit Delaware County and experience the many opportunities we offer for family fun, great food, and entertainment,” said Steve Byrne, Executive Director of Visit Delco, PA.
