Peter E. Kratsa, a partner at West Chester’s MacElree Harvey, has been elected President of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL).

PACDL is a nonprofit founded in 1988 to provide education and resources to criminal defense lawyers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is the “premier network of leading defense attorneys in the region.”

PACDL consists of more than 900 attorneys from across the Commonwealth, and in addition to supporting criminal defense lawyers, its mission includes protecting the rule of law and improving the criminal justice system.

Kratsa chairs MacElree Harvey’s Criminal Defense Practice Group and has more than 25 years of experience defending individuals and entities under investigation and/or accused of criminal activity.

“I have been a member of PACDL since I began practicing law,” Kratsa said. “It is an incredible honor to become its President. I look forward to sustaining PACDL’s vision of equal justice under the law and its impactful mission.”
