The Great Pumpkin Carve in Chadds Ford is among the best small-town Halloween festivals in the country, writes Kastalia Medrano for Thrillist.

Visitors to the three-day event get the chance to observe as artists masterfully carve more than 70 pumpkins. During the process, they transform them into spooktacular creations. The pumpkins used are so huge that they can weigh up to 400 pounds.

Once the creation is completed, the carvers illuminate their artwork with candles and put them on display so that everybody can marvel at their creativity.

In addition to this stunning display, the annual Chadds Ford tradition also includes many other Halloween-inspired activities, such as a pumpkin patch, hayrides, and a large haunted trail for kids. The Great Pumpkin Carve also features different food and drink vendors, all accompanied by live music.
