CCEDC’s MaryFrances McGarrity, left, with members of the Irish delegation.

A delegation from three north western Irish Counties – Mayo, Sligo, and Roscommon, visited Chester County in early October.  The Chester County Economic Development Council’s Global Business Advisors (GBA) initiative interfaced with representatives from each county’s local enterprise office.

GBA member Rob Rae and his team at Littus coordinated the visit as part of a soft-landing program to help the fast-track the relocation and integration of Irish business in the Philadelphia metro area.

The Irish delegation was keen to visit Chester County to explore ways to ignite overseas trade links for their region’s producers, manufacturers and entrepreneurs.

They also are interested in fostering cooperation and developing local networking mechanisms with our business community.

CCEDC’s MaryFrances McGarrity –  Senior Vice President, Business Development Services and Komeil Nasrollahi – International Business Program Manager worked with the delegation to educate them on area opportunities and introduce them to local companies.
