Chester Springs is once again the ZIP Code with the highest median household income in Pennsylvania, according to a recently released study by UnitedStatesZipCodes.org.
Having a higher income brings a lot of positives to an area, including more funding for school districts, bigger budgets for local services, and higher consumer spending. However, it can also create a higher cost of living as people often flock to flourishing areas.
The website used the latest Census Bureau data to create its Highest Household Income ZIPs in Pennsylvania ranking.
Chester Springs was No. 1 with $148,730 in median household income. This is slightly lower than last year’s $154,808. Still, it is more than double the state’s median household income of $59,195.
Wayne and Chadds Ford also made the Top 10 at Nos. 5 and 7, respectively.
Wayne moved up six places compared to last year with a median household income of $131,623. Meanwhile, Chadds Ford made an even bigger leap, climbing 11 places with $130,500 in household median income.
