Time’s Running Out; Cast Your Vote and Help CCHS Win Much-Needed Preservation Grant

By

Now is your chance to save history.

Listen.

You can almost hear echoes of the first Pennsylvania Women’s Rights Convention, held in 1852, in architect Thomas U. Walter’s Horticultural Hall, which is now the home of the Chester County Historical Society.

A leaking roof and crumbling chimneys are threatening this historically and architecturally significant building. Fortunately, though, CCHS has been chosen as one of 20 historic sites in the nation to compete for preservation funding during an online voting campaign. The grant would secure funding for roof repairs and ensure that the echoes of the past reverberate into the future.

CCHS, a nonprofit that preserves and shares the remarkable story of Chester County and its people, needs your help.

You can sign up and cast up to five votes daily from now through Oct. 29 by clicking here. Below are video instructions on how to vote.

“We need your help to save YOUR history,” said Allison Snavely, Director of Development at CCHS.
