George Daly, formerly an avid golfer and a Compassus Hospice Care patient, had his wish to get back out on the links fulfilled with the help of the Coatesville Country Club, writes Bill Rohrer for Fox 29.

While he is unable to play, Daly got the chance to be outside on the course and watch a Junior PGA golfer swing away.

“I think it means a huge deal,” said Gail Dacamara of Compassus Hospice Care. “To relive something that they loved and then get to re-experience that again.”

Daly agreed, saying this was a “great opportunity to come and see the old course.”

It wasn’t Daly’s first visit to the Coatesville Country Club. In fact, he was a member for 10 years. However, things have changed significantly since he was last there.

“I don’t recognize it anymore,” said Daly.

Some things haven’t changed, including several familiar faces that Daly saw during his visit.
