Jennifer Morgan of Newtown Square’s SAP made Fortune’s list of the Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Business, checking in at No. 43, reports the magazine.

Fortune’s 2019 list has more CEOs, more promotions, and more competition than ever and includes 10 newcomers. This is the 22nd year the magazine has published the list.

Morgan, 48, is president of Cloud Business Group, part of SAP.

She was promoted in June from her role as president of the Americas and Asia Pacific Japan to head SAP’s global cloud business, SAP’s fastest-growing business line — and a key to the company’s future.

Her first test in the role is overseeing SAP’s ­second-largest acquisition ever, market analytics startup Qualtrics.

Morgan learned early on as a junior dental assistant in her father’s orthodontist office that being empathetic with people was critical to success.

“He always used to tell me, ‘Papers will wait. People won’t.’”

She learned at SAP that there was a correlation between financial success and how work teams were treated and thought about.

Those who spoke about their teams with great passion, understanding what was important to them, had better financial numbers.
