The Women Influencing Business Committee of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry will host its 2019 Professional Development Conference on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 8 AM-1:30 PM at Bentley Systems in Exton.

This powerhouse event brings together accomplished female leaders, corporate executives, and business owners for discussions led by industry experts.

Don’t miss this opportunity to grow and develop your personal and professional skills.

Keynote speakers include Sue Weldon, the founder of Unite for HER, and Adrean Turner, a certified coach, speaker, and professional development trainer. Weldon will share stories about her personal journey with breast cancer and how she founded her nonprofit to help other women find treatment and continue to thrive, both personally and professionally. Turner will discuss ways to activate G.I.R.L. (grit, inspiration, rebellion, and leadership) power to excel in your career and life experiences.

Breakout speakers and their topics include:

  • Jamie Lynn Curley’s “Backstage Manifesto”: She will walk you through the steps to design your own tailor-made life. Whether you want to focus on health, self-confidence, career, or family, these baby steps in the right direction will allow you to achieve the success you desire.
  • Erika Doan’s “Building Up the Women Around You”: No one ever achieves success alone. Sometimes the greatest barriers can be the other women with whom you work. Doan will discuss the importance of building up the women around you and how that contributes to your personal and professional growth.
  • Michele Porterfield’s “Understanding Motives and Whey They Matter”: She will help you understand motivational theory and how it is relevant in the workplace. The framework can help participants not only better understand themselves as individuals, but also how it applies to topics such as selecting employees and developing others.
  • Andy Groce’s “Mindfulness with Andy”: He will lead the group through a morning exercise. A personal trainer at ACAC, Groce has years of experience helping people become the best version of themselves.
