The West Chester-based Dave Magrogan Group is narrowing its focus onto one brand, Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Dave Magrogan, the group’s owner, opened the first Harvest nine years ago in Glen Mills, and has since expanded to nine locations.

To be able to devote more time and resources into the Harvest brand, the company has sold some of its other properties, including Barra Rossa restaurant in Downingtown and Kildare’s Irish Pub in West Chester.

The company also decided not to open any new restaurants this year, for the first time in 15 years.

“We took a year to open no restaurants to focus on the quality of new restaurants and going into ‘Harvest 2.0’ and scale the company,” said Magrogan.

The company also spent some time studying the industry, as well as “who we are” and “who we want to be.”

This led to defining the company’s new purpose: farm to table for everybody.

“We want people to know we have a bigger mission at Harvest,” Magrogan said.
