If you’ve ever looked skyward and gazed longingly at the sight of a hot air balloon, you’re in for a treat at the end of the month.

The 13th Annual Chester County Balloon Festival will take place from June 21-23 at the New Garden Flying Field located at 1235 Newark Road in Toughkenamon.

This event is an awe-inspiring display of color with a Friday and Saturday night glow, Saturday night fireworks, and more than 20 balloons expected to take to the skies in mass ascensions scheduled throughout the weekend.

More than 15,000 visitors will have the opportunity to view the balloons close up, meet the pilots, and take a balloon ride. With far-reaching views stretching across the beautiful Chester County countryside, it is little wonder that these rides are described as “spellbinding” and “magical.”

There will be plenty to see and do for families and visitors throughout the weekend: food and craft vendors, live music, tethered and free-floating balloon rides, activities for children, and a wine and beer garden for adults.

The weekend is non-stop fun with something new around every corner – a special shapes rodeo, skydive flag jump, monster truck rides, and paragliding show, to name just a few.

Admission to the festival is $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-12, and free for children under 6. Some activities at the festival require additional fees. A portion of the proceeds from this event benefit the Chester County Hero Fund.
