By

You’re looking at the next generation of healthcare, technology and engineering professionals. Pre-college students from local schools received their pins of achievement and medical white coats during a ceremony on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 after being accepted into the Chester County Economic Development Council’s STEM Innovation Summer Academies.

The summer programs that start in June are designed by the CCEDC to provide career exploration and industry skills to develop the next generation of leaders in healthcare, technology and engineering. In the CCEDC’s STEM Innovation Summer Academies, students earn industry-standard certificates, experience hands-on learning with business and industry leaders who become mentors, learn how to launch virtual businesses, discover how robotics and engineering are entwined in their daily lives, and gain relevant training to enhance their college applications. Registration is still open for some programs.
