A familiar face has returned home to the Main Line to establish his bank’s presence in a market teeming with opportunity.

Berwyn native and Conestoga High School graduate Christopher Bickel, a Senior Vice President at Centric Bank for the last three-plus years, is leading the Harrisburg-based bank’s entry into the Main Line. He heads Centric’s commercial lending team at the bank’s new office in Devon.

“Chris has been a strong leader and a top-producing lender at Centric Bank since joining the team in 2016,” said Patti Husic, CEO of Centric Bank. “Chester County is his hometown, and he’s the ideal person to introduce our ‘Centric Bank Way’ relationship banking services to this region rich with entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, and business builders.”

Bickel and his commercial lending team operate out of an office located at 80 West Lancaster Avenue. Centric Bank will also open a financial center across the street, at 105 Lancaster Avenue, in September.

“The strongest advantage we offer suburban Philadelphia is our small business lending strength, consultative resources, and rapid response time,” Bickel said. “We offer a human element to bank processes — a level of personal connectivity that customers crave.”

Prior to his return to the Main Line, Bickel focused on commercial real estate loans and lines of credit in Dauphin and Cumberland counties. Now, he’s excited for the opportunities that lie before him and Centric Bank.

“This area is home for me,” said Bickel. “At Centric Bank, we believe having a familiar face when you start, scale, and grow your business sets the tone for success.”

Success is nothing new for Bickel, who excelled athletically as a two-time national champion in lacrosse at Syracuse University. He began his banking career with Commerce of New Jersey and boasts more than 16 years of experience in the industry, specializing in commercial lending, commercial real estate, and new business development.
