Chester and Delaware counties are home to four of the Top 20 Public Golf Courses in Pennsylvania, writes Eric Epler for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

The Golf Course at Glen Mills checked in at No. 3. Designed by Bobby Weed, this unique facility opened in 2000 and offers elevation challenges and an excellent combination of member-style holes.

Next was Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford at No. 5. Designed by Brian Ault and opened in 1993, this relatively young course quickly garnered national attention, especially for those preferring tall grass over trees on errant shots.

Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale ranked eighth. Designed by Gil Hanse and opened in the 1990s, Inniscrone began as a private facility before becoming municipal. It offers a challenging design with both elevations and difficult pars.
