Voters in West Chester Share Their Thoughts on Mueller Report with NPR
Following the release of Robert Mueller’s report, voters in West Chester shared their opinions on the subject, writes Jeff Brady for National Public Radio.
Since the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that a congressional district map drawn by Republicans was unconstitutional, the newly drawn map has helped switch the district that includes West Chester from the GOP to Democrats.
Now, Democratic voters here are hoping for a full release of the Mueller report, including the previously redacted parts.
“I want to see them subpoena Mueller,” said Irving Friedlander. “And I want to see him have to answer every question that Congress asks.”
Both Friedlander and his wife Elaine believe something has to be done about the idea that any other country can tamper with voting in the U.S.
Some Democratic voters in West Chester, though, are afraid that the entire effort might backfire.
“I think they should keep with it,” said Ned Foulkrod. “But it doesn’t have to be a central focal point of the campaign.”
Langdon Kane echoes this feeling, saying that it would be better for Democratic leaders to focus primarily on winning the presidency in 2020.
