The Side Bar & Restaurant on East Gay Street in West Chester will host a “Shave Off for SHiNE” party on Saturday, April 27 from 3-5 PM.

Enjoy complimentary appetizers and drink specials while the finest salons in Chester County go head-to-head, literally, in the quest for the best beard.

A number of guys have been growing their beards to raise funds to provide free services to patients living with cancer through SHiNE. SHiNE is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides transportation, emotional support, prescription assistance, massage therapy, acupuncture, and wigs to patients living with cancer. The group works to provide every patient every advantage in his or her battle with cancer.

All beards are welcome to compete. You need only attend to enter.

We are fortunate to live in a community where exceptional cancer treatment is practiced every day at The Abramson Cancer Center at Chester County Hospital. SHiNE aims to lessen the burdens of cancer by helping patients confront their challenges with dignity, determination, and hope. Its goal is to provide support to individuals so that their strength, courage, and heart will continue to SHINE.
