Immaculata University

Immaculata University and DeSales University are expanding their partnership to allow students to easily transition into more graduate programs.

“Through this partnership, students will benefit from this collaboration and will see possibilities for themselves beyond their undergraduate studies,” said Dr. Angela Tekely, Immaculata’s provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. “Leveraging the expertise from each institution, Immaculata University and DeSales University are creating a seamless pathway for our students.”

The two schools first partnered in 2010 to offer the DeSales MBA at Immaculata. Under the new partnership, DeSales students will be able to pursue a Master of Science in Nutrition Education and Counseling or a Master of Music Therapy at Immaculata. Students at Immaculata will be able to earn a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Publishing or a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice at DeSales.

Downingtown-Thorndale Regional Chamber of Commerce

The chamber is seeking nominations for three civic awards: Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, and Community Organization/Nonprofit of the Year.

“The Community Organization/Nonprofit Award is new this year,” said Michael Glover, chamber president. “In the past, we have received nominations for nonprofits submitted with business nominations. There has been some confusion, so we decided to add the new category.”

Nomination forms and guidelines for all three awards are available here. The deadline for submission is March 16. Awards will be presented at the chamber’s annual dinner on April 24 at the Downingtown Country Club.

Citadel

The second-largest credit union in the Greater Philadelphia area experienced record asset growth in 2018.

Citadel’s assets increased $335 million to $3.4 billion — the organization’s largest year over year increase in its 82-year history. Citadel is focused on investing in enhanced mobile capabilities while continuing to expand its branch presence and breadth of products.

In 2018, Citadel was ranked No. 1 in all of Pennsylvania for providing value to its members. The ranking, which is published by Callahan & Associates, uses savings, lending, and product usage to quantify member value and assign a score to every credit union in the U.S.
