In recent years, Kennett Square has successfully transformed from a sleepy borough into one of the most beautiful towns in Pennsylvania, writes Katie Park for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Kennett Square is known as the Mushroom Capital of the World, but today, it also boasts shops, restaurants, a variety of small businesses, and a bustling downtown.

For example, the acclaimed restaurant Talula’s Table offers a seasonal, farm-to-table tasting menu that has attracted food lovers from across the country.

“Every year, we do more business,” said Talula’s Table chef-owner Aimee Olexy. “And in a place like this, your business is very reflective of the number of people that come in.”

This transformation has led Culture Trip, a popular travel website, to name Kennett Square “one of the most beautiful towns” in Pennsylvania.

Over the last three years, Kennett Square has added 20 new businesses, including a brewery that is capitalizing on the town’s reputation with a mushroom beer.
