CCEDC Hosts 15th Annual Economic Outlook: Don’t Count the Economy Out!

By

Patti Brennan, President of Key Financial, Inc. has been a presenter for all 15 years that CCEDC has been offering an Economic Outlook.

For the 15th straight year, Patti Brennan, CFP and CEO of Key Financial, Inc. offered a comprehensive review of the market and the economy, with her outlook for 2019.  She noted that the “4th quarter of last year left investors and business leaders nervous about the near term future.”

CCEDC’s MaryFrances McGarrity, SVP of Business Development Services offered an update on various projects in the region

Brennan also commented that “trade wars,  the government shutdown, and the Federal Reserve policy of increasing interest rates leave many wondering if we could be on the brink of a recession.”

Ever lively and engaging, Brennan involved the audience of nearly 150 people by including several live, interactive polls to help underscore her facts.

She identified and addressed the various elements affecting the economy and markets and offered tips on how to apply this information to create more financial security and save money on taxes in April.

Brennan took us back to 1910 and painted a picture of what life was like then versus today, noting that we are much better off now.  For instance, life expectancy and median income are significantly higher now.

She ended by holding up a green football jersey and ending with one unforgettable message: “just like our Philadelphia Eagles, don’t count this economy out just yet.”
